About Sarah:

Sarah has been an RMT since 2006, started teaching continuing education in 2010, and started teaching for an RMT program in 2012. At that time, the program was brand new, and she created a good chunk of that curriculum. She worked her way up to Regional Coordinator, and was responsible for multiple RMT programs within that company. She has gone through accreditation with the CMTCA multiple times and has learned A LOT in the process. Now she wants to share that knowledge with you!

What is her process?

First, you and her will have a short introduction and figure out generally what you need, and decide if she’s the right fit for you. If you decide to work together, she will determine exactly what is needed and you will agree on a list of deliverables. Together, you will spend just enough time to make sure any work that is done will stay true to your vision for your program, without wasting a moment (you don’t have money to waste, and she doesn’t like to waste a minute of time!). Then she gets to work! She’ll check in when needed and work with you so you’re satisfied with what is being produced. After all, this is about your school and what you need.

Why use Sarah as a consultant?

Sarah wants to teach you how to work with the standards of the CMTCA at your company. She’s always here to help, but she believes that it’s best if you can do things on your own!

She also knows there are some things where it is best to hire someone who knows. Maybe you need a course developed, or maybe you’re brand new and need a lot created! Sometimes it’s better to hire someone who can do it once, and you know it’s done right!

What about workshops?

Most new RMT instructors have no teaching experience. They have the knowledge of how to work with patients, but conveying that to a classroom is a completely different skill. A large part of Sarah’s job was supporting her staff. This included teaching the teachers and helping create the next generation of RMT instructors. Teaching is TOUGH! It requires managing a group of personalities that are desperately trying to get to the next phase in their life, and tensions can run high! This is no easy feat for the instructional staff! Not only do they teach the material, but field questions, resolve disputes, and console and support their students with all kinds of issues! These instructors are the rising stars in the next generation of RMTs!

Teaching is vulnerable. An instructor stands in front of a class and does their absolute best to engage, entertain, and most importantly, relay what the students need to know. With so much responsibility, they can always use a little extra support. With all of that in mind, Sarah’s workshops are designed to arm them with skills they need to confidently tackle the needs in their classroom.
